Heating matters too
Alfaz has a large community of northern European residents who spend the winter here. For them the heat pump is the main heating, so we choose units that perform well at low temperatures and run quietly at night.
Albir by the sea
In apartments and bungalows near the Albir promenade and the Serra Gelada, salt and wind are hard on the outdoor unit. We recommend units with anti-corrosion coating and a clean once a year.
Inland urbanisations
Escandinavia–Cautivador and Arabí are full of townhouses and chalets with gardens. Multi-splits suit them well, with ducted air or a heat pump for the larger houses.
What does it cost to heat a home with a heat pump?
An inverter heat pump gives about 3–4 kWh of heat for every kWh of electricity. For a 30 m² living room in January, running around five hours a day, that usually comes to €15–30 a month, well below electric radiators.
What we're asked for most
In Alfaz del Pi and Albir, the jobs we're asked for most are multi-split systems, servicing and cleaning and air-to-water heat pumps, though we handle the full range.
Frequently asked questions
Will air con work as my heating in Alfaz?
Yes. In this climate an inverter heat pump heats very efficiently and is the most common form of heating.
Do you speak English?
Yes, we work in Spanish and English. If you'd rather write in another language on WhatsApp, we'll manage.
Can you fit air con to a townhouse without spoiling the front?
Yes. We run the pipes inside or round the back, and the outdoor unit goes in the garden, on the terrace or on the roof, out of sight from the street.
