How much does a multi-split cost in Benidorm?

A 2x1 multi-split fitted in Benidorm usually costs between €1,500 and €2,600, and a 3x1 between €2,200 and €3,600, including VAT. One outdoor unit runs two, three or four indoor units, which is why it's the usual choice for flats with a small terrace or where the community allows only one unit outside.

Why it's so common on the coast

Many communities of owners limit how many units can go on a facade or roof. With multi-split you only need one outdoor unit, and each room still has its own indoor unit and remote.

Common set-ups

The most popular is a 2x1 for the lounge and main bedroom, and a 3x1 for two-bedroom apartments. We size each indoor unit for its room and its sun, rather than using the same figure for all of them.

Worth knowing

If the outdoor unit fails, every room loses its air con, so we choose brands with good local support and easy-to-find parts. We also leave the pipework ready in case you want to add another room later.

Multi-split or two separate splits?

Two 2.5 kW splits usually cost a little less than a 2x1, and if one fails the other keeps working. A multi-split wins when there's only room for one unit outside, when the community doesn't want more units on the façade, or when you want a third room ready for later. We'll price both so you can compare.

Where we fit

We're a good fit for two- or three-bedroom apartments and townhouses with little outdoor space. If you have a suspended ceiling, compare it with ducted air before deciding.

Frequently asked questions

Can I start with a 2x1 and add rooms later?

Yes, if the outdoor unit has three or four connections. We plan for it from the start so adding a room is straightforward.

Does each room have its own remote?

Yes. Each indoor unit switches on and adjusts separately, although they all run in the same mode, cooling or heating.

Does a multi-split use more power than separate splits?

Not necessarily. With a good inverter unit, running costs are similar, and you gain space and a tidier facade.

How many indoor units can a multi-split run?

In homes it's normally two, three or four indoor units, and some models take five. For more rooms than that, ducted air usually makes more sense.

Too hot at home?
