How much does ducted air conditioning cost in Benidorm?
For a two or three-bedroom apartment in Benidorm, ducted air conditioning usually costs between €3,000 and €6,500 fitted, including VAT. The price depends mainly on output, whether there's already a suspended ceiling and ducting, and zone control. With sound pre-installation we fit it in one or two days.

When it makes sense
Ducted systems suit new builds, full renovations and apartments that already have pre-installed ducting, which is common in recent developments in Finestrat and Poniente. They also work well in villas where you want to cool several floors without units on every wall.
Zones and control
With zoning, each bedroom has its own thermostat and dampers open or close as needed. You don't cool empty rooms, so running costs drop. You can control it from your phone, even when you're away.
What we check first
We measure the ceiling void, the duct route and where the return grille and outdoor unit will go. If there's old pre-installed ducting, we check the pipes and wiring before connecting anything.
How much building work is involved, and how long does it take?
With pre-installation we open the ceiling hatch, hang the unit, connect it and fit the grilles: one or two days and hardly any dust. Without it, the hallway ceiling has to be dropped, the ducts run and openings made into each room, which usually takes three to five days including the decorator. If you're renovating, that's the time to do it.
Where we fit
We're a good fit if you have a suspended ceiling or are renovating, and want to cool three or more rooms with one system. For one or two rooms, a split is better value.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need a suspended ceiling for ducted air?
Yes. The unit and ducts sit hidden in a ceiling void, usually above a hallway or bathroom. If you don't have one, we explain what work would be involved.
Can old pre-installed ducting be reused?
Often, yes. We check its condition and insulation; if it's sound, we only replace the unit and the grilles.
How noisy is ducted air conditioning?
Very quiet in the rooms, because the unit is further away. What you hear is the air leaving the grille, at a low level if the system is sized properly.
How often should ducts be cleaned?
The return filters every one or two months in summer. The unit and drip tray once a year. The ducts themselves every few years, or when you notice a smell, especially in flats left closed for months.
